Bassoon students of all ages and abilities welcome!

Nicole has recently relocated to the Vancouver area after 5 years of teaching at Colorado State University – Pueblo and over a decade of private teaching. Her teaching focuses on fundamentals, musicality and reed making / maintenance as well as establishing a unique lesson plan for each student that is tailored to the student’s needs and abilities. She is excited to inspire new bassoonists in a friendly, positive learning environment. Nicole has been performing professionally on Bassoon (and Contrabassoon) for nearly 2 decades both in the US and abroad. She has a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in bassoon and contrabassoon performance as well as a bachelor’s degree in music theory and composition. Composition lessons are also available.
